A Letter from Rev. George Malkmus

Since becoming a Christian on May 29, 1957 at a Billy Graham Crusade in Madison Square Garden in New York City, I have been studying the Bible. I went to school for four years of preparation for the ministry, followed by almost twenty years of pastoring at various churches, preparing and delivering somewhere around five thousand Bible-based sermons. During my four years of formal training, the Bible was our textbook and the final word for all our studies.

Then in 1976, I was told I had colon cancer, a potentially life-threatening physical problem. Just prior to being told I had colon cancer, I had watched my mother die a horrible death at the hands of the medical community, which had treated her with its modalities for her colon cancer. Because of Mom’s horrible experience at the hands of her well-meaning doctors, when I was told I had the same problem, I went searching for a better means of dealing with it.

In my search, I contacted evangelist Lestor Roloff, a great Bible preacher in Texas, for help. Brother Roloff had been teaching biblical nutrition for years, and he discouraged me from going the medical route while encouraging me to simply change my diet from the Standard American Diet (SAD) to the Genesis 1:29 diet of raw fruits and vegetables. He also encouraged me to drink a lot of carrot juice.

Almost immediately after making this diet change, I started to get well! Within a year after making this diet change to a pure, raw, vegetarian diet, not only was my tumor gone, but so were all the other physical problems I was suffering from when I made the diet change. This experience drew me into the Bible, a book I had been studying and preaching from for over twenty years prior to my illness, to see what it had to say on the subject. To my amazement, even though I had been studying the Bible since 1957, I found the Bible had lots to say on the subject. So much, in fact, that in 1987, I wrote my first book, Why Christians Get Sick, which contains approximately 150 Bible verses relating to the subject. This book has helped many Christians understand Biblical nutrition, and has now passed the mark of a quarter million copies in print.

In 1992, Rhonda and I started the Hallelujah Acres^® Ministry in a small store in Rogersville, TN, where we served carrot juice and other vegetarian fare, as well as shared my health message with all who would listen. From that humble beginning, Hallelujah Acres® has grown to an estimated two million plus followers today.

I was not alone in my gross ignorance of Biblical nutrition for so much of my Christian life. It is a subject in which most Christians have practically no knowledge. Most of the prayer requests for sickness in our churches are the result of this ignorance.

I have personally been following this Genesis 1:29 diet for nearly 30 years after having followed the Standard American Diet (SAD) for 42 years. I have personally experienced both the world’s diet and the Genesis 1:29 diet, and know what each of the diets has done in my own physical body. I have been there and done that!

In addition to Biblical research and personal experience, I have spent the last 28 years of my life learning everything I could about the subject from both Christian and non-Christian sources alike. I studied under Dr. Carey Reams in Georgia; worked with Dr. Ann Wigmore in Boston; spent two years learning Natural Hygiene and lecturing at the Shangri-La Health resort in Florida; as well as studying most of the modalities in both the traditional and alternative health fields.

So when I speak on the subject of Biblical nutrition, I feel that I am more than a mere novice since I have spent over twenty-five years studying all manner of health-related information, especially the Bible, with regard to what it teaches concerning diet and lifestyle, as well as personally living the Genesis 1:29 diet for the same twenty- five years.

And with Rhonda by my side, and Olin and the rest of the Hallelujah Acres^® staff, I encourage you to learn all you can about God’s way to ultimate health, and adopt His way for your health.

A CALL TO PERSONAL MINISTRY

LEARNING FROM CHRIST, THE TRUE MEDICAL MISSIONARY

Introduction

“And Jesus went.”  These three words effectively portray the pattern that Christ followed in order to fulfil His mission.  Most times Jesus did not wait for people to come to Him, He went to them.  The Gospel records are filled with His journeyings—to the market place, the synagogue, the mountain side, the cities and villages, to places far and near.   His audiences ranged from one person to multitudes.  His business was people.  Wherever Jesus went, He saw—and had fellow feeling for all who had the privilege of meeting Him.

Only one thing concerned Christ: to bring men back to God. Christ ministered to the whole man, mentally spiritually and physically.  He readily responded to the cry of the human heart.  He spoke words of encouragement to the troubled, the distressed, to those stricken in sorrow, to the afflicted and anxious.  To those overcome by sin, He gave new hope and courage.  To all He brought peace and mind and healing to body and soul.  By His life of devotion and dedicated service, men comprehended the love of God.

His personal interest in their needs and problems, His tactful guidance and understanding opened their eyes to discern the spiritual, to awaken inquiry and, ultimately, to seek for a better way of life.

The work of Jesus, some 2,000 years ago, is the work of the church today, and God looks to His people to follow the example of Christ, the True Medical Missionary.  Thus God in His wisdom has given not only the Gospel record of Christ’s ministry, but supporting detailed material such as is found in “Ministry of Healing,” to instruct His people in the principles of Christian living and Christian ministry.

1….He had one objective: to bring men complete restoration.  He ministered to the whole man, mentally, spiritually, and physically.

2….He took personal interest in people.  His ministry was person to person.  He mingled with men, filled with an overwhelming desire for their good.

3….He was dedicated to His task.  His dedication is revealed in His oneness with God, His continuous contact with the Father through the avenue of prayer and His keep knowledge of the Word.  He was the living Word, and when He spoke his words were spirit and life.

4….He understood human nature.  He was kind and sympathetic.  He mete people on the level of their needs.  He indentified Himself with their joys and sorrows, with their trials and perplexities.  He made truth plain through the approach of common interest.

5….He was untiring in His efforts.  The record of Christ’s ministry was one of constant going.  No task or problem was too great.  He understood the value of a soul, and if there was need He was there to minister.  He did not work on a time limit:  He was unwearied in His efforts to serve.

6….Jesus id not restrict His work to any one class of people.  He saw the value of a soul in all strata of society.  He was the friend of publican and sinner.  Men of position and influence sought Him.  He had equal concern for the rich and the poor.  He sought for the lost from the lowliest to the highest.  Nationality, rank, position, or creed had no place in Christ’s thinking in His desire to bring men back to God.

Rich will be the personal reward as the steps of Jesus are traced through the first hundred pages or so of “Ministry of Healing.”  Here we are told He carried the awful weight of responsibility for the salvation of men.  (Page 18.)  His life was one of constant self-sacrifice.  He devoted more time to healing the sick than to preaching.  (Page 19.)  He made each work of fhealing an occasion for implanting divine principles in the mind and the soul.  (Page 20.)  The prince of teachers, He sought access to the people by the pathway of their most familiar associations.  (Page 23.)  And so through the pages of this wonderful book we learn of His great burden for humanity, and the methods He employed in order to reach the hearts of men.

The object of these studies is to assist church members in their understanding of Christ as the true Medical Missionary as revealed in the Gospels and the Spirit of Prophecy.  As they study, they will discover the important principles of effective ministry and be able to apply in their own lives so that they, too may become, like Christ, active medical missionaries.

We are told in “Testimonies,” Vol. 7, page 62:1:  “We have come to a time when every member of the church should take hold of medical missionary work. . . . Everywhere people are perishing for lack of a knowledge of the truths that have been committed to us.  The members of the church are in need of an awakening, that they may realize their responsibility to impart these truths.”  And further:  “The medical missionary work should be a part of the work of every church in our land.”—“Testimonies,” Vol. 6, page 289:1.

The world is in great need, and the only way in which this can be met will be through the willingness of His people to use the instruction that God has given.  Our duties are clear.  Let us now take the forward step to minister as Christ ministered, and thus bring salvation to those who desire eternity with God.

MUJIZAT MEMESONAKAN 1000 MISSIONARIES MOVEMENT

Wonderful Testimonies of Amazing Laymen Ministries in Indonesia.

The 1000 Missionary Movement is a self-supporting organization formed by the North and South Asia Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  This movement is committed to support young people from various tribes and provinces in Indonesia in getting some training to prepare them to work as missionaries to the various cultural groups of people in the archipelago of more than 13,000 islands with a population of 240 million people, the majority of which profess Islam as their religion.

Pr. Sammy Lee had been asked to spend some time last  year to help in training the enthusiastic youths who dedicated one year of their life to work as volunteer lay missionaries mostly in unreached areas by the Three Angels Messages, and continues to give moral and material support to this movement.

This movement was first started in 1992, with its headquarters in the Philippines.  Up to the present they have trained more than 4000 missionaries who came from 54 countries and have been sent to more than 50 countries.  The latest branch was established in Indonesia on the Island of Sulawesi, and a suburb called Tompaso II.  They are working together with the local conferences in the West and East Indonesia Unions of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Indonesia.

The director of the Indonesian 1000 Missionary Movement is Pr. Ji Sung Bae, and his assistant is Pr. Park Yun Gown, both from Korea.  Pr. Ji and his family have been in Indonesia for 4 years, and they loved the country, people and especially their job in training the young people who dedicated their lives for one year to work as volunteer lay preachers in remote areas.  Some of them even decided to work longer.  They have done marvellous jobs there which resulted in hundreds of baptisms so far.  Here are several of the amazing testimonies that they reported.

The Elisha Miracle – Naomi Resurrected

“Naomi…Naomi…Naomi wake up… Help… my daughter is dead…!!!”  The hysterical cry pierced the silence of the village in the jungle of Papua.  Jhoni Santos is a young man from Timor Leste who took part in the 1000 Missionary Movement training in Indonesia.  Together with his friend Fernando Krey they were sent to work in an isolated village in the Indonesian Papuan jungle.    At that moment Jhoni was giving Bible studies to a group of kids, while his friend, Fernando was playing with another group not far from that hut.  They rushed to the hut and found the girl by the name of Naomi in a stiff condition, pale, cold and lifeless.  She must have been dead for sometime when her mother found her still sleeping that morning.

Jhoni was a student of Economic studies, at the Mt. Klabat Adventist University in Manado, Indonesia.  He just did not know what to do in that situation.  If they take the body of the girl to the nearest clinic, it would take them 3 days just to reach the place.  But that would not be of use, because the girl was already dead.  Jhoni remembered the story of how Elisha resurrected a dead child, so he prayed in his heart:  “Lord Jesus…I am only a sinner.  But you are a mighty God who never changes.  So please do something to this child.”  Then she pick up the dead body and hug it tightly in his arms.  All the people in the hut was dumbfounded and watched with amazement  and in silence.

Jhoni and Fernando sang together, first What A Friend We Have In Jesus and then There Is Power In The Blood.   Then they continued taking turns while one is singing the other prayed earnestly that God perform a miracle for them.  This lasted for more than forty minutes.  Suddenly Jhoni felt as if his heart stopped beating for a couple of minutes as he was stunned to hear the voice of Fernando who said excitedly, “this child is breathing again…!”  Everybody crowed closer, hold the hands of the girl and touch her body, and sure enough she was alive and smiled at them.  The little hut exploded with shouting and dancing, and they were praising God and singing with joy.  “Our God is really wonderful and powerful!  Praise the Lord!”  everybody shouted with tears trickling down their cheeks.

Four weeks later while sleeping in the middle of the night, the silence was again broken with screaming of a hysterical mother.  Jhoni and Fernando woke up and ran to the hut where the screaming came.  When they arrived, there were a couple of witch doctors performing their rituals on the body of Naomi who had been quite ill the day before and apparently the mother decided to call the witch doctor as their custom among those superstitious people.

Jhoni shouted angrily to them, “What are you doing?  Haven’t you understand the power of our God?  How can you still believe in superstitious after you witnessed the power of Jesus?”

Both Jhoni and Fernando picked up the cold body of Naomi and hug it while singing hymns and praying that the Lord perform another miracle.  They took turn in praying with all their hearts, with tears and confessing their sins.  Jhoni prayed that he would rather die for Naomi if the Lord would not answer their prayers.  This happened for two hours.  Then suddenly while still praying Jhoni felt a finger poking his ribs.  He kept on praying and singing asking God to perform the miracle or let him die.  Again he felt a finger poking his side, and this time Jhoni opened his eyes to see who did that.  He was shocked to find out that Naomi has opened her eyes was smiling at him and trying to rise her body up.

Naomi is still alive and well at this moment.  But that is not the end of the story.  Her uncle, Decky Suanso,  was so impressed that he decided to join the 1000 Missionary Movement training to become a lay preacher too.   He joined the 5^th group which I helped trained for 1 week on how to work among Moslems and Buddhists.  Pastor Ji Sung Bae went to the village to conduct a series of evangelistic meetings which resulted in the baptism of 47 people there.  Praise the Lord, indeed for such amazing demonstration of His power!

KESAKSIAN AJAIB DARI GERAKAN ANGGOTA AWAM DI INDONESIA -  NAOMI DIBANGKITKAN DARI KEMATIAN

Gerakan 1000 Missionaries adalah yang merupakan organisasi anggota awam yang dibentuk oleh Divisi Asia Pasifik. Gerakan ini berkomitmen untuk mendukung kaum muda dari berbagai suku dan propinsi di Indonesia dalam mendapatkan beberapa pelatihan untuk mempersiapkan mereka untuk bekerja sebagai misionaris ke berbagai kelompok masyarakat di Nusantara yang terdiri dari 13.000 lebih pulau-pulau dengan jumlah penduduk 240 juta orang, yang kebanyakan menganut agama Islam sebagai agama mereka.
Pr. Sammy Lee telah diminta untuk membagikan  waktu dan talentanya pada beberapa tahun terakhir ini untuk membantu dalam pelatihan bagi para pemuda yang telah mendedikasikan satu tahun dari kehidupan mereka untuk bekerja sebagai sukarelawan   misionaris di daerah yang belum terjengkau oleh Pekabaran Tiga Malaikat, dan terus memberikan dukungan moril dan material kepada gerakan ini.
Gerakan ini pertama kali dimulai pada tahun 1992, dengan kantor pusat di Filipina. Hingga saat ini mereka telah melatih lebih dari 4000 misionaris yang berasal dari 54 wilayah dan telah dikirim ke lebih dari kawasan.. Cabang yang terbaru di Indonesia didirikan di Pulau Sulawesi, dan dikampung yang bernama Tompaso II. Mereka bekerja sama dengan pemimpin setempat di Uni Barat dan Timur Indonesia dari Gereja Masehi Advent Hari Ketujuh. Direktur 1000 Missionary Movement Indonesia adalah Pr. Ji Sung Bae, dan asistennya adalah Pr. Park Yun Gown, baik dari Korea. Pr. Ji dan keluarganya telah berada di Indonesia selama 4 tahun, dan mereka sangat mencintai negeri, serta penduduk dan pekerjaan mereka dalam pelatihan anak-anak muda yang mendedikasikan kehidupan mereka selama satu tahun bekerja sebagai pengkhotbah sukarelawan di daerah terpencil. Beberapa dari mereka bahkan memutuskan untuk bekerja lebih lanjut lagi setelah mengakhiri waktu setahun itu. Mereka telah melakukan pekerjaan menakjubkan yang mengakibatkan ratusan baptisan jiwa  selama ini. Berikut adalah beberapa kesaksian yang luar biasa yang dilaporkan.

Mujizat Elia dalam kebangkitan dari Naomi

“Naomi … Naomi … Naomi bangun … Tolong, tolong… … putri saya sudah mati …!” Teriakan  histeris memecahkan kesunyian dari desa di hutan Papua pada suatu pagi.. Jhoni Santos adalah pemuda dari Timor Leste yang ikut ambil bagian dalam Gerakan 1000 Missionary pelatihan di Indonesia. Bersama-sama dengan temannya Fernando Krey mereka dikirim untuk bekerja di sebuah desa terpencil di Indonesia ditengah hutan Papua. Pada saat itu Jhoni sedang memberikan pelajaran Alkitab Jhoni kepada sekelompok anak-anak, sementara teman-Nya, Fernando sedang bermain dengan kelompok lain yang tidak jauh dari pondok itu. Mereka berlarian ke pondok dari mana suara itu terdengar dan menemukan gadis dengan nama Naomi dalam kondisi kaku, pucat, dingin dan tak bernyawa. Dia telah dijumpai ibunya dalam keadaan mati ketika ibunya datang membangunkan dia pagi itu seperti biasanya.
Jhoni adalah seorang mahasiswa jurusan ekonomi pada Universitas  Klabat di Manado, Indonesia. Dia tidak tahu apa yang harus dilakukannya dalam situasi itu. Jika mereka membawa gadis itu ke klinik terdekat, itu akan memakan waktu 3 hari untuk mencapai tempat tersebut. Tetapi itu tidak akan berguna, karena gadis itu sudah mati. Jhoni ingat cerita tentang bagaimana Elisa telah membangkitkan seorang anak yang sudah  mati.  Sebab itu dia berdoa dalam hatinya: “Tuhan Yesus … aku hanya seorang berdosa. Namun Anda adalah Allah yang besar yang tidak pernah berubah. Jadi lakukan sesuatu untuk anak ini. “Kemudian ia mengambil mayat itu dan memeluk dengan erat dengan kedua lengan. Semua orang di pondok itu tercengang dan menonton dengan kagum dan dalam keheningan.
Jhoni dan Fernando bernyanyi bersama, pertama Yesus Sahabat Terindah dan kemudian Ada Kuasa Dalam Darahnya. Kemudian mereka bergantian, kalau yang satunya menyanyi maka yang lainnya berdoa dengan sungguh-sungguh dan dengan bercucuran air mata meminta Tuhan melakukan keajaiban bagi mereka. Ini berlangsung selama lebih dari empat puluh menit. Tiba-tiba Jhoni merasa seolah-olah hatinya sendiri berhenti berdenyut selama beberapa menit karena ia terkejuta mendengar suara Fernando yang gembira berkata, “Hei, ini anak sudah bernapas lagi …!” Semua orang yang mengerumuninya dantang untuk memegang tangan gadis itu dan menyentuh tubuhnya dengan keheranan, dan benar saja dia sudah hidupkembali dan tersenyum pada mereka. Pondok kecil itu meledak dengan suara sorak-sorai dan orang-orang menari, dan mereka memuji Tuhan Allah dan bernyanyi dengan gembira. “Tuhan kami benar-benar indah dan handal! Puji Tuhan! “Semua orang berseru dengan air mata mengalir kebawah pipi mereka.
Empat bulan kemudian ketika sedang tidur di tengah malam, kesunyian telah rusak lagi dengan teriak histeris seorang ibu. Jhoni dan Fernando bangun dan berlari ke gubuk dari mana teriakan datang. Ketika mereka tiba, ada beberapa dukun sedang mereka melakukan upacara mantera-mantera di tubuh Naomi yang telah sakit sehari sebelumnya sehingga ibunya memutuskan untuk memanggil para dukun dikampung itu sebagai adat mereka di antara orang-orang yang masih percaya tahyul itu.
Jhoni berseru dengan marah kepada mereka, “Apa yang kamu buat? Apakah kamu belum memahami kuasa Allah kita? Bagaimana kamu masih percaya takhyul setelah menyaksikan kuasa Yesus? “
Jhoni dan Fernando mengangkat tubuh yang dingin dari  Naomi dan memeluknya sambil mereka bergantian menyanyi dan berdoa supaya  Tuhan melakukan mujizat lagi.  Mereka menghimbau semua berdoa dengan sepenuh hati mereka, dengan bercucuran air mata dan mengaku dosa-dosa mereka. Jhoni berdoa bahwa dia akan lebih rela mati untuk Naomi jika tidak Tuhan akan mengabulkan doa-doa mereka. Hal ini terjadi selama dua jam. Kemudian tiba-tiba sambil terus berdoa Jhoni merasa ada jari yang menusuk tulang rusuknya.   Dia terus berdoa dan bernyanyi meminta Allah untuk melakukan mujizat atau membiarkan dia mati. Sekali lagi ia merasa sebuah jari menusuk pada sisinya. Dan saat ini Jhoni membuka matanya untuk melihat siapa yang melakukannya. Dia terkejut ketika mengetahui bahwa Naomi telah membuka matanya dan sambil tersenyum padanya berusaha untuk melepaskan dirinya dari pelukan Jhoni dan  dan mencoba untuk bangkit berdiri.
Naomi masih hidup dan baik sampai saat ini. Tetapi itu bukan akhir cerita. Pamannya, Decky Suanso, begitu terkesan akan kejadian ini sehingga  ia memutuskan untuk bergabung dengan 1000 Missionary Movement untuk mengikuti pelatihan menjadi pengabar injil sukarela.  . Dia bergabung dengan kelompok 5.  Kebetulan saya termasuk salah satu yang turut memberikan latihan kepada kelompok itu selama 1 minggu tentang cara untuk bekerja di antaraumat  Islam dan Buddha. Pastor Ji Sung Bae kemudian datangi ke desa itu untuk melakukan serangkaian KKR  yang menghasilkan baptisan 47 orang di sana. Puji Tuhan, sungguh luar biasa  kuasa Allah, dan betapa Dia tidak berubah dan menepati janjiNya asal kita setia dan berserah sungguh-sungguh kepadaNya.

The poem above is (supposedly) written by a terminally ill girl in a hospital. Don’t you think we’ve been running on “fast forward mode” more often than we like or should?

Remember that most illness come through a stressful life.

Trust in the Lord and try to smell the roses as you move.

Renungan Apakah Anda berjalan setiap hari bagaikan sedang terbang? Bila Anda bertanya, ‘”Apa kabar? ” Apakah anda menunggu untuk mendengar jawabannya? Ketika hari berakhir Apakah Anda berbaring di tempat tidur Dengan ratusan acara berikutnya Berkecamuk dalam kepala anda? Anda akan lebih baik memperlambat langkah Jangan berlari terlalu cepat. Waktu hidup sangat singkat. Musik tidak akan berlanjut terus. Pernahkah anda mengatakan kepada anak Anda, Kita akan melakukannya besok? Dan dalam keadaan tergesa-gesa, Tidak melihat kekecewaan pada wajahnya? Pernahkah anda kehilangan sentuhan, Ingat karenanya persahabatan yang baik pun terputus. Seringkali Anda tidak mempunyai waktu Untuk menyapa dan berkata, Hallo! Anda akan lebih baik memperlambat langkah Jangan berlari terlalu cepat. Waktu hidup sangat singkat. Musik tidak akan berlanjut terus. Ketika Anda berjalan begitu cepat untuk mendapatkan benda fana Anda melewatkan setengah kebahagiaan hidup lainnya. Bila Anda khawatir dan terburu-buru melewati kehidupan sehari-hari, Begitu banyak hadiah surga yang belum dibuka …. dan malah dibuang. Hidup bukan sebuah perlombaan. Perlambatlah sedikit langkah anda Nikmati  musik yang dipersembahkan alam.   Sebelum lagunya berakhir. Puisi yang di atas adalah (diduga)   ditulis oleh seorang gadis yang mendekati ajalnya di rumah sakit. Tidakkah anda berpikir bahwa kita telah berjalan melewati batas kecepatan lebih sering daripada yang seharusnya? Ingat bahwa kebanyakan penyakit datang karena stress kehidupan. Berserahlah kepada Tuhan dan usahakan untuk mencium mawar sepanjang jalan sementara anda  sempat dan sedang melewatinya.

Sambil Menyelam Minum Air Manis

Apa maksud saya dengan Sambil Menyelam Minum Air Manis?  Mendapat manfaat ganda dengan melakukan satu kegiatan saja.  Sambil membaca cerita humor sehat sopan, anda juga bisa belajar bahasa Inggris dan disamping itu tentu saja menarik pelajaran atau petuahnya.  Coba deh, pasti anda senang dan mendapat faedah gandanya.

Bahwa kita hidup dalam waktu yang paling genting tapi penting dalam sejarah pasti kebanyakan orang  setuju. Dalam waktu dekat saat ini dunia dapat berakhir baik dengan peperangan atau hanya karena sumber makanan dan airnya sudah tidak dapat lagi menopang kehidupan, dengan pemanasan global, kerakusan global, kegagalan panen, dan bencana dunia baru pesanan. It is real, man! Hal ini bukan hanya imajinasi belaka, atau khayalan hampa.
Tetapi jika anda berada di sisi Tuhan, setiap waktu adalah waktu yang terbaik, karena Anda tahu bahwa dia akan menangani setiap kebutuhan Anda. Kita tidak perlu merisaukan  masa depan, kecuali jika kita lupa apa yang telah dilakukan Tuhan untuk kita di masa lalu.

Marilah kita berharap bahwa berapapun sisa waktu sebelum kiamat terjadi akan dipenuhi dengan berkat dan sukacita dan damai karena kita bekerja sama dengan makhluk surgawi sementara kita berusaha menjengkau mereka yang hidup sekitar kita.

Although we all know the world cannot last much longer in its present pleasant and peaceful condition, but we would like to share what we have gathered as we roamed upon it for the last fifty years or so.

God loves you and so do we.  We want to be able to help you live a happier and healthier life as we live from day to day towards the collapse of civilization.  But here is goodnews:  There is going to be a better world for those who want and are prepared.  This assurance have been given by reporters since ancient time.  People like Joel, Isaiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, who lived during the ancient time three thousand or so years ago, Paul, Peter and John who lived around two thousand years ago, and our contemporary reporters living in the 20th and 21st century.
